I teach workshops every year at The Silver Thimble in Oakville. I have taught at the Creative Needlework Festival and several Guilds. Stitchery that I enjoy most includes stumpwork, machine embroidery, applique, doll making, blackwork and counted thread. I have won several awards including Bernina Canada, Coats and in 2004 a stumpwork sampler in Piecework magazine. May of 2005 I won awards from the Toronto Guild Competition and the Mississauga Guild Competition. To date I've been published in Embroidery Canada (cover, pictures and article); The Quilting Arts; Piecework, Soft Dolls and Animals, and the Art Doll Quarterly. See ONN - AGM - Scarborough - 10 May, 2006 SKILLS : Workshops : Stumpwork, Blackwork, Painted faces with embellishment, Soft Sculpture, Dolls with needlework techniques on clothing. FEES : $ 300.00 per day plus travel expenses, plus kit fee - billeting if necessary. Prefer to teach on weekdays, but can do weekends occasionally. TRAVEL : Will travel if reachable by car or train.
