BIO :  
Margaret is a landscape artist. She studied textile art and design at Sheridan College and the Ontario College of Art and is a certified teacher with the Embroiderers' Association of Canada. She teaches workshops to EAC guilds, quilt guilds, colleges and privately. Her book, "Window Gardens in Bloom"' C&T Publishers was released in 2005.

SKILLS :   Classes are 2 to 5 days in duration. I will accommodate all levels of experience. I teach the following classes :

  • Fabric painting techniques for landscape or backgrounds - 2 day
  • Hand embroidery techniques for landscape - 2 day
  • Meadow landscape - 2 day
  • Spring floral garden - 2 day
  • Silk embroidered wild rose with dragonflies - 2 day
  • Wild flower sampler or garden sampler - 2 day
  • Window sill garden - 2 day
  • Oriental poppies in silk embroidery- 2 day
  • Crazy patchwork techniques and stitches - 2 day
  • Picket Fence Garden - 2 days
  • Shoreline theme landscapes - 4 to 5 days
  • Field and Meadow landscape theme - 4 to 5 days
  • Home and garden landscape theme - 4 to 5 days
  • Window gardens in bloom theme - 4 to 5 days
  • Botanical study theme - 4 to 5 days
  • Starting with one stitch - explorations in embroidery - 2 to 3 days

I also teach many 3 hours workshops for Needlearts shows.
