In 1988, I began to learn the art of embroidery and in 1992 I found and joined the Northumberland Hills Stitchers Guild. Since then I have taken many courses and classes from the Embroiderers' Association of Canada (EAC), Embroiders Guild of America (EGA), and the American Needlearts Guild (ANG).
I have also studied in Germany at the Museum de Schwalm.
I am certified as an EGA Master Craftsman in Counted Thread.
I have been teaching for over 12 years at various EAC national seminars, Smocking Arts Guild of America (SAGA) National Seminar, EGA national and regional seminars and guilds in Canada, America and Bermuda.
I was a juror for 'Threadworks 2007' and the 2008 'SAGA National Exhibition'.
I am the Author of the EAC GCC in Casalguidi Embroidery and the new Beginner Schwalm Embroider "Gisele". The EGA GCC's "Angelina – Italian Drawn Thread" and "Liesel - Beginner Schwalm Embroidery" as well as the EGA Individual Correspondence Course "A Basic Study of Schwalm Embroidery".
SKILLS : Schwalm Embroidery, Casalguidi Embroidery, Pulled Thread, Drawn Thread, Russian Drawnwork, Hems and Edges.
FEES : $ 350.00 per day plus travel expenses, food and accommodation as necessary.
