Report - January, 2012
A festive time was enjoyed by all at our December holiday parties with lovely treats and record levels of participation in our gift exchange.
The Evening Group has a busy year ahead. The fun starts in January with a slide show on embroidered clothing -- both historical and modern. Our members will be keeping their hands busy stitching a Hedebo bookmark designed by Jette Roy-Finlay in February. We return to India in March when we will stitch a scissors or key fob. For April Pat Armour has designed a beautiful luggage tag that will let us try our hands at pattern darning. We hope to have a speaker for May. June will see the Evening Group throwing a fabulous pot luck dinner and ending the evening with a surprise.
For the new year, the Day Group is planning 3 types of finishing techniques in January;
Speaker Judy Carlson in February; a Hardanger project in March; a Field Trip to the costume workshop of the National Ballet of Canada in April; an outreach project in May;
and our wonderful closing lunch in June.
Our Stitch Day is set for February 25, 2012. Happy New Year to all!
