Summer is a time to relax for the Kingston Fibre Artists with just an occasional stitch day. Several members achieved successes in the last few months.

Phillida Hargreaves won the Grand National Show award. Congratulations !!

Frankie LeMonde Meunier won the Curator's Award for Threadworks; her wonderful work was used for their poster. ("Trees Dancing for Joy")

Sylvia Naylor had a piece accepted in the International Show of the Handweavers Guild of America in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Andrea Graham will be the artist-in-residence at Queen's University next year; she will also show her work in Montreal at the Canadian Guild of Crafts.

We have welcomed two new members Margaret Morris and Susan Farber.
