This summer, guild members have been refreshing their senses in their gardens and expanding their repertoires at art courses.

We are eager to begin our meetings in September and we have a delicious variety of courses planned for our members. Each course consists of six 2 1/2 hour sessions so all our topics are thorough. Members have plenty of time to learn, practise and consult with their teachers.

This fall, classes will be :
-   Gardens Galore with Ann Bernard,
-   Introduction to Design with Ruth Douglas,
-   Mixed Media and Stitch with Donna Funnell,
-   Hidden Faces with Heather Van Riesen (embroidered masks),
-   Beginner's Stitch with Mavis Brown,
-   Ribbon Embroidery with Ellen Collington and the
-   Independent stitchers.

In the winter, classes will be :
-   Lace Making with Ruth Douglas,
-   Stitchers' Colour with Susan Strachan Johnson,
-   Stitching Around the World with Barbara Grantmyre,
-   Painted Stitch with Alison Jackson and Ana Maria Kramer,
-   Stitched Vessels with Doeteke Hanzelka and the
-   Independent stitchers.

We will have a preview of classes on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 10 am to noon at Kortright Presbyterian Church, 55 Devere Drive, Guelph. Teachers will be present with samples of the work which will be taught. Registration of members and selection of classes will be done that day. Individuals who wish to join after that time are very welcome but may find some of the classes full.
