NORTHUMBERLAND HILLS STITCHERY GUILD

Report - January, 2012
We have had perfect fall weather - where has it all gone so quickly! We were given a brown bag project - contents of a brown bag including fabric, buttons, and floss were to be used to make a project for a Christmas gift exchange. It was open to us to decide what to make and what to use from the bag. So we'll draw and unveil our projects at our Christmas meeting and luncheon.
We had a guest speaker from Alderville who displayed her considerable skills. She is very talented and makes beautiful traditional native moccasins. Several of our members enjoy the meeting time for fellowship and working on individual projects.
We enjoyed seeing slides of the London ONN meeting - particularly the handbags that were submitted.
Our 2012 program will begin with Carousels at which time we can choose a technique to learn from a selection of beading, goldwork or silk ribbon. Then on to learning about fabric painting and embellishment.
Display at the ONN Annual General Meeting (London) - 12 May, 2011.
